What Makes This Special
This pillow features La Liberté Americaine Toile by Richard Saja for Schumacher. Created by textile artist Richard Saja, La Liberté Americaine Toile is a work of art and a provocative conversation piece. A traditional pastoral print embellished by hand, this extraordinary fabric celebrates and subverts the stylistic conventions of 18th-century Europe. Hand-screened on cotton-linen union cloth, this historic toile de Jouy by Jean-Baptiste Huet (1745–1811) is full of playful surprises, with animals, people, and landscape elements accentuated by colorful and unexpected hand-embroidered details. Back of pillow features Piet Performance Linen in noir. Pillow is finished with a welt in Cedric Cotton Lipcord Medium. Welt contents: 48% fibranne, 36% cotton, 14% polyester and 2% nylon. Pillow includes a down/feather insert and hidden zipper closure. -
